Dakota Decoys are constructed of a blend of high and low density polyethylene. This mix gives the decoy the paint retention found with high density products, with a bit of flexibility to take the abuse found in hunting situations. Each decoy comes with a flocked head and is hand painted for an ultra realistic appearance. The bodies are molded in the natural base color of the Canada goose. This allows the decoy to continue to look natural and actually adds character as the decoy ages.
The “Wind Walker” motion system is second to none! It's smooth, natural motion that gives the appearance of the natural walking movement of live birds. Limiters are molded into the bodies which work in very high wind conditions, without getting stuck. Incorporated is a stretchable leg system to assist with the movement, and also allow the decoy to be moved without the base falling off. Another feature of the system is the ability to turn the decoy on the base and snap lock the base into the decoy body, eliminating any movement and also allowing the decoy and base to be moved as one piece.
